8. Hearing that Jack got to go to the hospital today (on a field trip) and that touring the ambulance and the helicopter were his favorite parts of the day! Lucky kid!

Two Days in the Past

Sunday:
1. Up and at 'em early! (actually, Simon and I were the only ones up until about 9:15 am)
2. College essays and old photos - fun times cleaning out the crawl space.

4. Kids off with the grandparents while we packed.
5. Dinner and margs (and rash) with the Marsden Loetschers. Always a good time!

7. Listening to Jack and Casey play upstairs, and watching Si cruise around on his own... crawling, doing the downward dog, and pulling himself almost up onto the furniture. Not to mention playing in the dog bowl, eating dirt off the floor, and gumming up his brothers toys!

9. So many AMAZING people I know are turning 50 this year. I admire them in so many ways, look up to them, and know that my future, too, is going to be amazing. Thank you for making my life more rich and full!

Today

1. Lounging around in bed this morning. Awake, but unwilling to get up.
2. Reading about randomness.
3. PHS staff buffet. Best people in the world.
4. 49 minutes, 17 seconds. One step at a time.
5. Simon's smile when he saw me tonight. Makes the days worthwhile.
6. Knowing that other people read this blog. :)
7. Finding books (as I'm packing) that I knew I had, and have potentially new use thanks to the new IB Language and Literature class.

3. IB training - meeting new people, encountering new and interesting ideas, being compelled to change - too bad it was the wrong training...
4. Customized IB training - me, Todd, the subject guide, Starbucks = perfect!
5. Dinner at the Krakeller's with the Joiners and the Ortizs. Perfect way to end the week!

Fun Day with Students = Thursday

1. Hearing about Jack's dreams...
2. Dutch Brothers, I love you. Cinnamon and muffins.
3. Thinking about running. Surprised me.
4. Lindsay's email. Sam's emails. The fact that people know where I am. Thank you!
5. Shooting the shit with Lossie.
6. Shooting the shit with Jeremy (aka. the "Ralph" of the Math Department).
7. BD: Orgasmic moment.
8. Crap TV while I ran myself out - took a minute off my time!
9. Pizza and beer (wine) at Roman Villa with Jessica.
10. Interrupting cow! (BINGO!!!!)

And, overall, my students really impressed me today. Their interpretations of Pedro Paramo impressed me, and they impressed themselves, which made me proud and HAPPY!

AND, if you asked me if today was a "good" day, I'd probably say no. But. There it is. So many good things in the midst of so much that isn't.

3. PLC. Curriculum Maps. Essential Questions. Nerdyness revealed.
4. Running. Yep. I said it.
5. The Lady Terror's basketball game - Jack's first bball experience. It was so amazing watching the athletic prowess of those girls. I'm so proud of them! Thanks, Katya!
6. Jack: "This sucks!" He was right. Made me laugh.
